Quickly Adding New Contacts from your Phone Recents List

Many times you will receive a phone call from, or place a call to, someone you would like to add to your Contacts list.  It is easy to add that phone number to an existing contact or create a new contact from a phone number.
1. Tap the Phone icon.

2. Tap the Recents soft key along the bottom.

3. TIP: Any phone number you see listed is not yet in your Contacts list.  You see names instead of phone numbers when they are already in your Contacts list.
4. Tap the blue arrow  Blue arrowat the right edge of the phone number to see the Info screen shown to the right.

5. Scroll down and tap Create New Contact or Add to Existing Contact.

Turning off your iPHone

BlackBerry has this feature and perhaps there is some third party app on an iPhone that can do?

The iPhone is only sleeping when it is "off".  The phone falls asleep at an interval you decide  under Settings/General/Auto-Lock. Your options there are 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 minutes or "never". It turns on (or wakes) whenever you get a call, a text message, an alert, etc.

There is no automatic way to turn it off or on.

Why move towards Managed Services?

When the going gets tough....the tough get managed!!!!

Back in 2006 over 65% of companies said they had deployed managed services--- more than double said they would in 2008. The most common types of managed services were managed router services ( deployed by 48%) followed by managed VOIP (22%).

There are a couple of factors that set this trend. First, is that the major carriers have priced managed services aggressively-- to the point where some clients are able to get fully managed services for less than they expected to pay for unmanaged services.
Another huge reason is the lack of staffin in IT departments.

We also know that another big challenge that is in the favour of managed services.... is the skill set that most companies are lacking today due to new technologies such as VOIP, and security!

Let's Adeste's NI manage your data!
